Even as restaurants are beginning to open their doors again after COVID-19, we still tend to feel a little safer when dining outdoors. But when you travel to the Poconos, that won’t be the only reason you seek outdoor dining options. The beauty of the natural landscape is so awe-inspiring you will find yourself reluctant to go inside at any time during your visit, and of course that includes dinnertime! This guide to Poconos, Pennsylvania restaurants with outdoor seating will help you to enjoy a view with every meal; it really doesn’t get any better than this!
The one thing we’ve missed during self-quarantine is bellying up to a bar and enjoying the company of other like-minded individuals, which makes the Pint Size Park Outdoor Dining area a much-welcomed spot! Only open during the milder months of the year, the menu served here isn’t your standard pub grub, as they offer options such as poke bowls and black bean burgers. Their bratwurst sandwich, however, could quite likely be considered the perfect sandwich! They can definitely be considered one of the best Poconos, Pennsylvania outdoor dining restaurants!
For the moment, due to COVID 19 restrictions, Boulder View Tavern is taking reservations only; you won’t be able to drop by and dine, but if you plan ahead, breathtaking patio dining is in your future! Offering an upscale twist to the traditional pub grub (surf & turf quesadillas, for example) and a mouthwatering menu filled with your favorite dishes, the lakefront views will definitely be worth the extra effort of having to make reservations.
We love fresh seafood and were thrilled when the outdoor dining section of Smuggler’s Cove reopened; our lives just didn’t seem the same without Friday night date night at “the Cove!” A local tradition for 40 years, their Sunday & Monday Clam Special may just make you feel there is hope for the world in which we live! Costing only $18.99 for two dozen clams prepared fra diablo, garlic butter, or plain, our mouths are watering just writing this!
Perhaps the most exciting re-opening for us is Blue Ridge Winery, and although it’s not technically considered one of the Poconos, Pennsylvania restaurants with outdoor seating, they do feature pizza by Juan on weekends, so we figure it’s close enough! Offering first come first serve tastings on their outdoor patio, their glasses, bottles, slushies, and wine tasting flights are first in our hearts!
There’s never a bad time for pizza, and Gagliano’s is one of our favorites! Located close enough to your Pocono Mountain Rentals cozy hideaway to ensure your pie will be hot and fresh when it arrives, they also offer a full menu of subs, sandwiches, and classic Italian dishes! Try the white pizza if you’re feeling daring; it’s incredible!
Although this is definitely a place we love to eat in, enjoying the company and the food, it’s nice to know that the delicious pizzas and wings of La Roma can be delivered to our doors on lazy evenings and nights. Plus, their humongous menu offers everything from onion rings to burgers, tacos, and gyros in addition to pizza and classic Italian dishes. This international spot holds a top position in our Poconos restaurant guide and is sure to have a dish that will please even the pickiest eaters in your group!
The only bad thing about delivery is missing out on any specials that might be offered, but that’s not an issue with Pocono Pizza! Ask about their chalkboard specials and you shall receive, but if you forget, don’t worry. Every dish on the menu is exceptionally tasteful, and you won’t go wrong with whatever you order!
